A comprehensive four-day training course providing instruction in canyon rescue and emergency responses, delivered by professional Critical Care Flight Paramedics and industry professionals.

RescueMED and Roam Adventures and Training is proud to present a new course for recreational canyoners, trip leaders and industry professionals in responding to emergencies in the complex canyon environment.

Combining adventure guiding and with the experience of Critical Care Flight Paramedics we are offering a unique training course providing direct instruction in how to respond to emergencies in canyons, managing a group in an emergency and preparing for self-rescue or assisted evacuation.

The 2023 iteration of this course is not an industry certification. It is a pilot program and as such is being offered at a discounted price. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn practical skills from adventure and medical care professionals.

  • Empress Canyon and rescue scenario #1 and #2

  • Scenario #1 Improvised stretchers, preparing for helicopter evacuation

  • Scenario #2 Trauma, hypothermia and shock management

  • Course debrief
