Descend into the extraordinary with an immersive canyon rescue medicine experience set amongst the spectacular sandstone canyons of the Blue Mountains.

In partnership with Roam Adventures, RescueMED delivers a dynamic five-day wilderness medicine programme designed for medical professionals seeking to sharpen their skills in remote and austere environments.

Through a combination of hands-on medical scenarios, canyon rescue training and guided expedition travel, participants will navigate narrow slot canyons by swimming, scrambling, abseiling and traversing through some of Australia’s most breathtaking wilderness terrain. Towering sandstone walls, flowing waterways and isolated environments create the ultimate real-world classroom for developing critical decision-making, teamwork and advanced patient care skills under pressure.

Led by experienced Critical Care Paramedics, wilderness medicine clinicians and expert canyoning guides, the course blends practical remote medicine training with authentic canyoning and rope-access skills. Participants will gain confidence in wilderness planning, emergency response, patient packaging and evacuation strategies while immersed in an unforgettable adventure experience.

This is more than professional development - it is an opportunity to challenge yourself physically and clinically in one of Australia’s most unique and demanding natural environments.

Train beyond the ordinary. Learn deep in the canyon. Return ready for when conditions are at their worst.

Join us across 5 days of abseils, increasing in height as confidence and skill grows.

EXPECTATIONS: Training activities are mentally demanding. Please contact us prior to making a booking if you are not certain that this is the correct level of training for you.
